Simulation
Terra Homestead
★★★★☆ 4.2
Terra Homestead is the comfort food of this list. You inherit a small plot, plant crops, tend animals and slowly turn a rundown farm into something you're proud of. It runs on a real seasonal cycle, so you plan planting around what will actually grow.
The townsfolk have little routines and story beats, which gives you reasons to leave the farm and explore. Crafting is satisfying without being fiddly, and there's a nice sense of steady progress.
It leans casual, and hardcore sim fans might find it light. But for winding down at the end of a day, the loop is genuinely relaxing and the pixel art is lovely.
