Strategy
Ironhold Command
★★★★☆ 4.1
Ironhold Command asks you to build and defend a mountain fortress, balancing miners, walls and troops against waves that get meaner every few days. It's a slower strategy game where planning your production chain early pays off for hours.
What I appreciated is that it's less timer-obsessed than most of its neighbors. You can push forward through good decisions rather than just waiting for buildings to finish. The combat is auto-resolved but readable, so you learn to tweak your loadout between waves.
It can get repetitive in the mid-game before new unit types unlock. Stick with it and the map-control layer gives you real strategic decisions about where to expand.
What we liked
- Deep production chains
- Less pay-to-wait than most
- Satisfying defense layouts
