Adventure
Hollowreach
★★★★★ 4.6
Hollowreach is quiet and moody in the best way. You explore a submerged city, piecing together what happened through notes, environmental storytelling and light traversal puzzles. There's no combat — the tension comes from oxygen management and the eerie beauty of the place.
Movement uses a virtual stick with a swim button, and it took me a session to feel natural, but once it clicked the underwater drift felt right. The map fills in as you explore, and finding a new landmark genuinely felt rewarding.
It's a short game — maybe four hours — but I remembered it long after. If you like exploration over challenge, this is a standout.
